Our Story
How did it all begin?
Khamango was born from a deeply personal firsthand experience. Like many landowners, we found the process of selling biodiversity credits and connecting with buyers confusing and frustrating. It became clear that a simpler, more accessible solution was needed. That’s why Khamango was created—to streamline biodiversity credit trading for both landowners and developers. Our marketplace bridges the gap, making it easy to list credits and empowering developers to make sustainable, impactful environmental decisions within the complexities of the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme.
Our mission?
Our mission is to create a transparent, efficient, and accessible marketplace for biodiversity credits in New South Wales. At Khamango, we’re not just a platform for transactions—we’re fostering a community that values sustainable development and environmental stewardship. Our marketplace empowers landowners to monetise their conservation efforts while helping developers meet their environmental obligations with integrity and ease.
We’re also committed to giving back. That’s why 1% of all transaction fees go directly to charities dedicated to biodiversity conservation in NSW—ensuring every trade contributes to protecting and enhancing our natural environment.
Who is Khamango for?
Khamango is tailored for landowners and developers. For landowners, we offer a straightforward platform to list and sell biodiversity credits, allowing them to support conservation while meeting financial obligations. For developers, we provide a simple, transparent way to fulfil biodiversity offset requirements, helping them make responsible choices that positively impact NSW’s environment. Initially, our focus is on engaging early adopters who share our vision for a sustainable, connected marketplace and who value the impact of biodiversity conservation.
